Trainer

Requirement:
Experienced trainer capable of handling the design, development and delivery of traditional classroom and distance training.
Responsibilities
- Deliver training as required to a diverse set of audiences
- Design training materials based upon identified training requirements
- Develop training materials for a prescribed curriculum
- Maintain existing course materials to match ongoing requirements
- Develop and update job aids, tip sheets, help files, etc.
- Implement and evaluate training plans, curricula and methodology
- Provide coaching , instruction and ongoing feedback; communicate expectations and evaluate performance
- Keep current on emerging training techniques and training software tools
Qualifications/Requirements
- At least five years of experience in training design, development and delivery (traditional/ e-learning)
- Knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles and of a wide range of training methods, techniques and formats (including multi-media and distance learning)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational, motivational and time management skills
- Proficient computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office, Internet and PowerPoint applications
- University or college degree in education or a related discipline
- Formal training in adult education and/or training design, development and delivery
Bilingualism (English and French) although not required is a definite asset.
