Project Management / Project Management Office (PMO)

Desired Experience:

The Halifax Group requests the services of experienced candidates in the following areas of expertise:

  • Project Integration Management
  • Project Quality Management
  • Project Risk Management
  • Project Human Resources Management
  • Project Planning
  • Project Administration

With experience performing some, if not all of the following service:

  • Developing, planning, analyzing, evaluating and prioritizing deliverables and requirements;
  • Organizing, and coordinating the activities of the project including personnel (clients, contractors, and other support providers), financial, planning, and contracting aspects;
  • Developing and maintaining overall plans and detailed schedules for the tasks assigned to the team and within the context of the overall project plans and budgetary requirements;
  • Managing projects during the development, implementation and operations start-up including goals, objectives, milestones, time, cost and performance parameters;
  • Defining and documenting the objectives for the project; determines budgetary requirements, the composition, roles and responsibilities and terms of reference for the project team;
  • Ongoing managing and directing of the team resources;
  • Performing quality assurance for each of the deliverables from each phase of the development life cycle;
  • Assessing project risk, escalating issues and reporting on team status of deliverables
  • Management of all change requests, problem reports, issues escalation and risks;
  • Management of multi disciplinary teams of IT professionals consisting of a mix of permanent and contract employees;
  • Preparing formal Statement of Work, work breakdown structure and compliance charts;
  • Creating and packaging of written communication materials, including management
  • Providing administrative support to working groups and committees, including:
    • organizing and coordinating meetings and similar events,
    • coordinating and distributing relevant materials, and
    • maintaining and providing access to working group / committee materials.

Highly Desireable Attributes:

  • 5+ years experiences;
  • Bilingual;
  • Security Clearance of Enhanced Reliability or Higher;
  • Post Graduate education and/or Certifications (i.e. PMP, PMBOK, etc.);
  • Experience using MS Project and other PM software.
